Skill development is an important tool for empowering people, protecting their future and holistic development of the individual. It is an important aspect that increases employment potential in today’s globalization. Skills are just as important as a person’s educational status. Education and skills should go hand in hand.

Skill Building & Livelihood
The main reason for migration and exploitation for the communities of backward areas is the lack of alternative sources of income. The Avasar charitable trust discussed providing various skills trainings for women, such as embroidery, beadwork and various other small businesses, and engaging a large number of women in self-help groups (SHGs).

Education & Training
Other areas where the Opportunity Charitable Trust team provides assistance are the Skills Development Program for Life Skills, Sports and other activities for self-development for students.

Community Development
Avasar charitable trusts grit and fortitude helped the tribals to take the obstacles and the slow progress of works in their stride. Their determination not being deterred by any hardships and failures gave SFT the courage to tread the difficult path of transformative change. It enabled them to transform & convert people’s suspicions and mistrust into faith and trust, to formulate a process that empowered community to walk and run with them and now even sprint ahead on their own.
